OVERVIEW:

MARINEX GROUP DESIGN is a group which incorporates design work from concept drawings through to full working drawings including engineering of components. MARINEX GROUP DESIGN offers design services for aluminum boats, steel boats, and fiberglass boats (Monohull & Catamaran including RHIB) up to 50M. We have experience in Patrol Boats, Fishing Boats, Work Boats, Crew  boat, Passenger Boat and Touring/Pleasure boats.

Located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, we specialise in the design of both Aluminium, GRP and Steel for commercial and recreational boats. We have been designing boats professionally for 12 years.

All of our boat designs are available in kit form which means we can supply the aluminium parts nd ship them anywhere in the world. We can supply to professional boat builders and also the amateur boat builder.

Marine design and naval architect services include design consultation, custom designs and alterations, boat plans and project management & supervision.

We also undertake contract cutting of vessel kits (CNC Nesting) and components from other designers and architects.

PRELIMINARY DESIGN:

The Preliminary Design is a continuum of the Concept Design and is initiated with the client's agreement with the form, fit, and function of the solution defined in the preceding phase. The exterior styling of the deck will be developed to suit the client's aesthetic intent. The major engineering tasks during this phase include the determination and drawing of the preliminary hull lines, structural scantlings, machinery arrangement, and tank capacities with locations. A refined weight estimate will be developed which leads to preliminary speed, power, and range estimates for various loading conditions. As the hull lines are fixed with the weights and weight centers, then the hydrostatics are calculated and intact and damage stability studies are performed. 

CONSTRUCTION DESIGN:

A Construction Design package is typically prepared for a shipyard. In the Construction Design phase MARINEX GROUP DESIGN  will develop typical construction sections, and undertake the necessary naval architectural/marine engineering calculations to support technical decisions. The MARINEX GROUP DESIGN  deliverables are negotiated on an individual basis with each shipyard.
